Exxon Mobile (EM) is installing a fixed offshore platform 200km out of Guyana shore for oil & gas extraction. GCAA agreed with EM to install an Extended Range VHF and ADSB Station on the offshore since right now they can only communicate with offshore up to 75 miles from Timehri at FL25. This solution will improve the range/coverage of the aeronautical communications and surveillance in Guyana.
EM request a proposal for the supply of:

  • One(1) ADS-B Ground Station, M/S configuration
  • One (1) VHF-AM extended Range System for one channel (124.2MHZ), same as the remote sites (Annai, Kaieteur etc.)
  • ATM and VCCS modifications at Timehri International Airport.
