Intelcan to Deploy ILS/DME to Rafael Nuñez International Airport in Cartagena, Colombia
Unidad Administrativa Especial de Aeronáutica Civil (Aerocivil) has selected Intelcan to provide a Category I ILS (Instrument Landing System) and co-located DME (Distance Measuring Equipment) for Rafael Nuñez International Airport in Cartagena, Colombia. Aerocivil is the government agency who acts as the Civil Aviation Authority and Air Navigation Service Provider of the Republic of Colombia.
Under this contract, Intelcan will supply and install the SKYNAV ILS N8000 and SKYNAV DME N9000 to enable Category I operations. To be installed alongside the ILS/DME, the SKYNAV RCMS (Remote Control and Monitoring System) comprising of RCU (Remote Control Unit), RSU (Remote Status Unit) and RMM (Remote Maintenance and Monitoring) application will give Aerocivil’s Air Traffic Controllers and CNS Engineers advanced tools for remotely monitoring and controlling the new navigational aids. SKYNAV ILS/DME/RCMS use modern technologies to achieve superior performance, reliability and maintainability that cannot be matched by competing products which are built upon obsolete technologies.
